Johnny Loughrey

This website has been put together in the memory of the late John Loughrey by his family.

Latterly it was Johns hope and wish that you would be able to share and enjoy his most heartfelt musical work ever.

He wrote and recorded the song ‘Ave Maria’ Mother of God towards the end of his life when he knew his time was limited. Such was his devotion to Our Lady, that he was inspired to produce this tribute song to her.

John found much strength and comfort with his Faith all his life but particularly in his latter years when he was truly at peace with himself and ‘Dear God and his blessed Mother’ – which he so very often said.

He wrote and recorded this song towards the end of 2004 and released it in December 2004. He financed the recording himself and has pledged absolutely all profits to the three charities closest to his heart:
